About Me

Filipa Bernardo
Sound Therapist

I was born at São Miguel island, Açores - Portugal. The island taught me that we are all connected, that everything is really connected.
I currently live in Lausanne, Switzerland, where I came to work as a Radio-Oncology Therapist at a large hospital in 2008.
This practice taught me to develop compassion and see the ephemeral side of life, as well as all its splendor. In 2016, after a serious accident at work, I was unable to walk due to an extremely important disc herniation. Fortunately, I was very well taken care of by the neurosurgery department of  CHUV and after the intervention I was able to regain my autonomy and independence. However, I was forced to find another profession, since by medical decision I was considered invalid to practice radiotherapy.
It was at this moment that the Sound Therapy came into my life bringing love, hope and the following gift: learning the practice and sharing it with other people.
I believe that the balance and harmony of the physical and mental body depends on the intention – the Will- of each one for himself and that we can all benefit from the help of alternative healing arts.
